The Bonnaroo 2020 lineup has dropped!
Headlining this year’s festival are Tool, Lizzo, and Tame Impala. The festival takes place at its usual grounds in Manchester, Tenn. from Thursday, June 11 until Sunday, June 14.
Lizzo is making history, being the first female headliner in the 19-year history of the festival. Other top names on the bill include Miley Cyrus, Lana del Rey, Bassnectar, Flume, Oysterhead, Vampire Weekend, The 1975, Run the Jewels, Tenacious D, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Leon Bridges, Young Thug, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Young the Giant, Grace Potter, Flogging Molly, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.
The undercard gets even deeper with some unique stuff. As always, the Superjam is something special to Bonnaroo. This year’s is being led by Sylvan Esso. There’s also hip-hop icon Nelly performing the album Country Grammar in its entirety, which is a pretty great booking. Also, funk outfit Turkuaz is teaming up with founding member Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads, as well as later member Adrian Belew to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their landmark album Remain in Light. There’s also Brittany Howard, Primus, Dashboard Confessional, Big Wild, Boombox Cartel, Greensky Bluegrass, The Struts, CAAMP, Oliver Tree, Dermot Kennedy, Lennon Stella, The Band Camino, Wallows, Denzel Curry, Pinegrove, and more.
Bonnaroo is one of my favorite festivals in terms of the vibe, and it should be a great year in 2020. Tickets to the festival go on sale thursday, January 9 at 9 AM Pacific Time. You can put $35.00 down to reserve your GA ticket and pay the rest off as you go.
