The BottleRock Napa 2020 lineup is here — and it’s as good as I hoped it would be!
Headlining the eighth year festival are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band, and Stevie Nicks. The festival takes place Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24 in downtown Napa.
When the Red Hot Chili Peppers announced longtime guitarist John Frusciante was back in the band after a lengthy hiatus, I hoped they would be part of the BottleRock Napa 2020 lineup because their only two other announced dates so far are on the East Coast. My dream came true. It’s early — but this is my favorite lineup so far of 2020, and if you’re someone who feels you’ve aged out of Coachella, this might be the festival for you.
The rest of the lineup is stacked like gangbusters as well. Miley Cyrus, Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals, Khalid, and Zedd are some names that have headlined other festivals in the past. There’s also Brandi Carlile, The Avett Brothers, Janelle Monae, Maggie Rogers, Blondie, Of Monsters and Men, Maren Morris, Empire of the Sun, Foals, Tegan and Sara, and Jimmy Eat World on the bill.
Michael Franti & Spearhead make their yearly appearance at their hometown festival. Also on the bill are Local Natives, the Village People, Eric B & Rakim, MUNA, Digable Planets, Meg Myers, Atlas Genius, White Reaper, Reignwolf, and more.
Three-day passes to BottleRock Napa 2020 are completely sold out. However, on Jan. 8 they released their daily lineups and single-day tickets go on sale Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 AM Pacific Time with prices starting at $159.
