Creeper Lagoon reunion books Echo gig for March

Umm…2017 just keeps getting better. After announcing two dates in their home of San Francisco last month at Bottom of the Hill, indie rockers Creeper Lagoon will bring their reunion to The Echo in March.

The band reunites members Sharky Laguana, Ian Sefchick, Dave Kostiner, and Dan Carr. With Sefchick a resident of Los Angeles, it only made sense for a show to happen in LA. Still, all indications were that this reunion would be a one-off in SF during Noisepop, but now its sprouted legs to southern California for a show on Friday, March 3 at The Echo.

The band was named Best New Artist by SPIN Magazine in 1998 and they were a favorite of college radio around that time. I didn’t get into them until after they disbanded in 2001 and I thought I’d never get to see them. Now I’ll get at least three opportunities!

Tickets to see Creeper Lagoon reunite at The Echo go on sale Thursday, January 5 at 12 noon Pacific Time. They are priced at $12.50, a steal to see this band play what will end up being their third show since breaking up 15 years ago. The show is 18-and-over.

I am beyond excited! Check out a playlist I compiled of my favorite Creeper songs to brush up on their tunes.
