CRSSD Fall 2017 lineup: RUFUS DU SOL, Chromeo headline

The CRSSD Fall 2017 lineup has dropped, and top-to-bottom it’s pretty strong!

Headlining the festival are Aussie alt-dance kings RUFUS DU SOL and Canadian electro-funk group Chromeo. The festival returns to Waterfront Park on September 30 and October 1. Also appearing are Richie Hawtin, Cut Copy, Mura Masa, BROODS, DIXON, an FKJ live set, SOHN, Elohim, DIXON, Hot Since 82, The Magician, The Black Madonna, and more.

The lineup in its early iterations at one point featured The Flaming Lips and TV On the Radio as headliners, but dipped attendance that stint suggested promoters FNGRS CRSSD go in a more conventionally-electronic route. Instead of rock bands, they’ve booked more and more electro-pop acts to provide a wrinkle. New Zealand synthpop group BROODS are very poppy and include live instrumentation, but are definitely something you can dance to.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, June 27 at 12 PM noon Pacific Time at crssdfest.com. Passes are priced at $115.00, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
