Dream Wife drop new song, play Echoplex in November

U.K. based rockers Dream Wife have dropped a new song and announced their debut album — and you can catch their debut headline Los Angeles performance in just a few weeks!

A big hit at SXSW, Dream Wife’s new song “Let’s Make Out” is more of the same punk-fused indie rock the Icelandic-born band has come to be known for. They opened for The Kills on a series of shows in the UK and we can only imagine how excellent that pairing was.

“Let’s make out! Let’s make out! Are you too shy? Are you too shy?” lead vocalist Rakel Mjoll shouts in the song’s opening stretch as the guitar riffs of Alice Go soar behind her. There’s a Robert Plant quality to Mjoll’s voice, for sure. Give the track a listen below:

The band has also announced their debut self-titled record will drop at the start of the year. Dream Wife will be available January 26 via Lucky Number — you can pre-order here. They’ll be making their first headline show at the Echoplex on November 13 and you don’t want to miss them. Tickets are only $11.50 — get them below!
