Dream Wife return to LA in October at The Echo

After making their Los Angeles headline debut at the Echoplex this past November, the three-piece British punk rock trio Dream Wife returns to the city for a show at The Echo in October! It’s part of the first North American headlining tour for the band.

Though their Echoplex show was in front of a sparse crowd last year, the band played like they were playing to thousands. Their self-titled debut album dropped back in January and has been in constant rotation for me ever since, as they manage to capture the intensity of their live show rather well with the studio recordings.

Lead singer Rakel Mjoll’s stage presence is quite memorable — she knows how to deliver the right looks at the right time. She can look menacing when telling you she’s going to “fuck you up, cut you up, gonna fuck you up” on “F.U.U.”. But she also can give the right wink and hair twirl when telling you she’ll follow you to your car on “Let’s Make Out”.

The band spent time earlier this year in America opening for Sunflower Bean, and the show at The Echo is part of their first full North American-headlining show. A full list of dates can be seen at the bottom.

Their show at The Echo takes place Wednesday, October 10. Tickets are priced at $12.00 in advance and $15.00 on the day of this 18-and-over show. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 18 at 10 AM Pacific Time. Doors open at 8:30 PM.

Dream Wife is also playing an October 13 show at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana. Tickets priced at $13.00 and on sale Friday, May 18 at 10 AM for the all-ages show.
