Forecastle 2018 lineup: Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Chris Stapleton headline

The Forecastle 2018 lineup is here!

Headlining this year’s festival in Louisville, Ky. are Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, and Chris Stapleton. The festival has taken place since 2002 and this year takes place Friday, July 13 until Sunday, July 15 at Waterfront Park.

Elsewhere on the lineup is a variety of acts that will make indie rock and Americana lovers gush. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Houndmouth, The War on Drugs, Father John Misty, Vance Joy, Courtney Barnett, NF, Jimmy Eat World, Kurt Vile & The Violators, and Jenny Lewis are among the standout acts.

The festival does a good job of booking acts that cater to the local community, and though I haven’t attended myself, I’ve heard great things about the vibe at Forecastle. It’s a solid three-day city fest with affordable ticket prices, and they don’t ream you on the VIP prices like a lot of festivals do.

Three-day general admission passes are priced at $169.50 plus fees at the level-two price. The Yacht Club weekend pass (which allows access to air-conditioned Mary M. Miller Steamboat and other special areas) are priced at $249.50 plus fees. Three-day weekend passes are priced at $449.50 plus fees.

On Feb. 6, the Forecastle 2018 daily lineups dropped. Modest Mouse will headline Friday, Chris Stapleton headlines Saturday, and Arcade Fire will close things out Sunday night. Single-day general admission passes are priced at $69.50 at the level-one price. Single-day Yacht Club passes are priced at $119.50 plus fees. Single-day VIP passes are priced at $199.50 plus fees.
