Fortress Festival 2018 lineup: Father John Misty, Courtney Barnett top bill

The Fortress Festival 2018 lineup is out, and it’s solid!

The second-year Fort Worth, Texas festival will be headlined by Father John Misty and Courtney Barnett. It will take place Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 in Fort Worth’s Cultural District.

Other standout acts on the lineup include RZA featuring Stone Mecca, De La Soul, Chicano Batman, Tune-Yards, The Voidz, Rapsody, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Waxahatchee, and Shabazz Palaces.

I attended the inaugural Fortress Festival last year (along with about 9,000 other people) and had a good time at the low-key city festival seeing Purity Ring, Run the Jewels, and Slowdive among the top acts. There wasn’t a bad sightline, the people were nice and chill, and it was easy to get to and from. The only complaint I had was the logistics of getting between the two stages, you had to swipe in and out your wristband.

Two-day general admission tickets cost $105 and two-day VIP tickets cost $275.
