Gigi Rowe debuts new music and rocks The Peppermint Club

Pop singer, songwriter and entertainer Gigi Rowe rocked her Breaking Sound set at The Peppermint Club on Saturday night, her first official show in many years, debuting numerous new songs from her forthcoming debut Laura (coming 9/30). The glamorous pop-rock singer hit the stage in a Rolling Stone shirt, a black hat, a shiny studded white jacket and killer zebra boots by Jeffrey Campbell.

Gigi packed a punch on show opener “Running from the Grave” while her voice shined on the relatable “Somebody for Me”. She played alongside LA pop-rock band Them Fantasies‘ bassist Dominic Cannarella-Andersen, guitarist Eric McCoy and drummer Max Meizlish, grabbing the guitar on her tune “Rockstar”, looking like a total natural. A pair of ballads impressed the crowd, including the guitar-led “When The Time Comes”, followed by a poignant “Color Outside The Lines”, joined on stage with McCoy for a moment that made the room stand still and erupt in applause.

Rowe brought special guest artist and TikTok star Claybaby on stage for the final two songs, including best friend anthem “BFF”, with Clay rapping his humorous yet catchy verses. The final showstopper was “Cherry On Top”, also with Claybaby, a punky pop tune that had Gigi Rowe jumping and dancing on the stage as the pair brought the energy and had fans moving along with them.

This Breaking Sound show also featured soulful pop singer and Songland winner Greg Scott, pop/rock band New Friends and alternative pop talent L E A.
