Synthpop group Kitten may have left Los Angeles for New York — but that doesn’t mean they don’t have love for their former stomping grounds. The group will play a show at the Highland Park venue Lodge Room on Monday, June 11!
The sophomore album from the Chloe Chaidez project is due out sometime this year. I’ve been listening non-stop to an advance copy the singer sent to me and holy shit, they take things to another level. I already knew that after seeing them a couple times at SXSW 2018 a few weeks ago and at School Night earlier this year. I’ve seen the singer climb everything in sight, including a tree at SXSW. Chaidez’s own words best explain their live show.
“I love being onstage more than anything,” said Chaidez. “When you are up there you can do whatever you want. You can be whatever you want. If there’s one person in the back of the room not involved, then that’s my audience. I’ll do whatever I have to do to blow that person away. I want everybody in the audience to remember where they were when they saw Kitten for the first time.”
They’ve released their first single “I Did It!” from their upcoming album and it’s only a sign of what you can expect. Tickets to see Kitten play the Lodge Room on June 11 are priced at $15.00 and are on sale now.
