Regina Spektor to play two intimate El Rey shows

Famed singer-songwriter Regina Spektor will return to Los Angeles for the first time in four years — with an intimate twist.

Spektor will headline two-straight nights at the cozy El Rey Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30. The singer recently announced her seventh album Remember Us to Life, which will drop that same weekend on Sept. 30 via Sire/Warner Bros. Records. It’s also her first album in four years since 2012’s What We Saw From the Cheap Seats.

You can listen to “Bleeding Heart” from her upcoming album as the song was released a few weeks ago. Her unique and unconventional vocal style is at home on the new track and has us clamoring to hear the entire album. The track has a bit of a minimal feel to it until the final chorus features a much more bombastic breakdown. Spektor’s vocals remain the focus throughout, as they should.

Spektor last played in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre back in August 2012. It’s been quite awhile since the singer has headlined a show in LA — though we did see her lend her voice to the Echo in the Canyon shows at the Orpheum Theatre last October.

Tickets to her two El Rey shows go on sale on Friday, Aug. 19 at 10 AM Pacific Time via AXS.com. Those that subscribe to reginaspektor.com’s mailing list can take part in an exclusive fan presale on Wednesday. Aug. 17 at 10 AM PT.

Tickets are priced at $49.50 for both nights, with doors opening at 8 PM and the show starting at 9 PM. Don’t miss out on a rare opportunity to see Regina Spektor in a small-capacity venue!
