Electronic jungle pop duo SOFI TUKKER have announced a show for the Fonda Theatre this May!
One of the breakout acts of 2017 (and one of my favorite festival discoveries of spring 2017), the duo have been on a tear since first appearing at Coachella 2017. They have a show at the Fonda Theatre on Wednesday, May 16, their biggest headline show and first in LA since major opening dates for ODESZA. UPDATE: The show sold out, a second show at the Fonda Theatre was added for Thursday, May 17.
They broke out in large part thanks to the catchy-as-fuck song “Drinkee” but haven’t rested on that success. They recently scored their first top five hit on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart with “Best Friend” featuring NERVO, The Knocks, and Alisa Ueno (which they performed recently on MTV’s TRL). They are a charismatic duo that I had the pleasure of meeting briefly at Firefly 2017, a festival that they made waves at thanks to bringing Maggie Rogers on stage for a collaboration of “Awoo” (watch at the bottom of this post!).
Tickets to see SOFI TUKKER at the Fonda Theatre on Wednesday, May 16 are priced at $26.00 and go on sale Friday, February 2 at 10 AM Pacific Time. The show is all ages with doors opening at 8 PM and the show starting at 9 PM.
