Alt R&B singer-songwriter Moses Sumney has a show coming up later this month at the El Rey, and we are giving away a pair of tickets!
I first saw the young and talented Sumney as an opening act for his friends Hundred Waters at the El Rey several years ago and kept tabs on him ever since. He wowed me with an early slot opening for Erykah Badu at the Hollywood Bowl and has delivered beautiful performances at festivals like FORM Arcosanti and Boston Calling this year.
Sumney recently released his full-length album Aromanticism, which will surely end up on many year-end best-of lists. Sumney as a live performer is incredible to watch as he using looping pedals to lay beats and rhythms down for him to sing over. He’s headlining a show at the El Rey on Saturday, October 21, and now you can win a pair of tickets from us.
