Good news! Mura Masa is coming to The Novo on Saturday, August 25 and we’re giving away a pair of tickets!
Have you ever seen a live Mura Masa show? It’s loads different than all electronic live shows. 22-year-old producer Alex Crossan plays live instruments on stage and trots out a number of talented vocalists to sing the hooks on his tracks. I caught him at the El Rey Theatre between Coachellas last year and was blown away by the show.
What has he been up to lately? Well, he had the distinction of working with legendary soul group Chic on their comeback album, featuring on the first single “Till the World Falls” alongside Vic Mensa and Cosha. That’s quite an impressive step after just dropping his debut self-titled album last year. His latest single “Complicated” with Nao is the kind of banger we’ve become accustomed to hearing from the Guernsey-bred producer.
Also great is Los Angeles-based Latin American singer Empress Of is opening the show.
