An amazing bill is coming to The Mayan next week featuring Perfume Genius headlining and Big Thief as support, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away!
Seattle-based singer Perfume Genius is still touring behind last year’s awesome full-length No Shape, and will take his talents to DTLA for a Goldenvoice Presents April show prior to performing at Coachella back-to-back weekends this month. His genre-bending indie pop and unique vocals are quite a pleasure to the ears.
Brooklyn indie rockers Big Thief came to my attention via Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist and I’ve been a fan ever since. Lead vocalist Adrianne Lenker has a fragility to her vocals that I’m in awe of. They’re touring behind last year’s masterful record Capacity, and will be sure to wow Coachella fans with a serene daytime set. They also had one of the best NPR Tiny Desk concerts in recent memory.
