For the first time ever in Los Angeles, two original Star Wars classic films will be getting the full orchestra treatment. And we’re giving away a pair of tickets to see A New Hope on August 7!
The Hollywood Bowl is presenting Star Wars: A New Hope on Tuesday, August 7 and Friday, August 10 and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on Thursday, August 9 and Saturday, August 11. We recently had our writer Ezra Salkin do a writeup of the live orchestra arrangement for the classic film JAWS — and it’s the kind of experience you’ll want to be part of.
John Williams’ compositions will be performed by the LA Philharmonic, conducted by David Newman. Early arrivals will receive free lightsabers, bringing out the kids in us as we fight alongside the Jedis. Costumes are encouraged, though masks and anything simulating a gun aren’t allowed.
Tickets are priced from $17.00 all the way up to $199.00. We also have a code for 30% off select sections at the Bowl — use BOWLR2D2 when checking out!
