The Drums are recent transplants from New York and have a series of shows in Los Angeles this November — and we have a pair of tickets to one of them to give away!
The Drums will be at the Fonda Theatre on November 2, November 3, and November 4. We have tickets to the Thursday, November 2 show. The group dropped their fourth studio record Abysmal Thoughts earlier this year and have a reputation for putting on excellent live shows, so don’t miss your chance to see them to close out 2017.
Frontman Jonny Pierce is said to have written the album after moving to Los Angeles following the dissolution of a relationship, which explains the pessimistic vibe that floats through most of the record. If you’re a fan of Morrissey, this latest record would probably be right up your alley.
It’s also worth noting that the opening act for these shows are art rock act Methyl Ethel — who put out their own awesome album Everything Is Forgotten earlier this year.
