Twin Shadow headlining School Night at Bardot on April 2

Fresh off an awesome set at In Bloom 2018 last weekend, new wave and synthpop hero Twin Shadow will play a hometown gig as the secret headliner of School Night at Bardot next Monday, April 2.

I caught his In Bloom set on Sunday, and he played a lot of new stuff from his upcoming album Caer, which drops April 27 via Reprise. The new songs matched the perfect Houston weather. The new record has features from HAIM, with single “Brace” one of two tracks featuring Rainsford.

Twin Shadows made his Los Angeles debut at School Night back in October of 2010, so it’s pretty cool to see that he’ll be returning to that venue almost eight years later for a special show.

As always, School Night at Bardot is free when you RSVP. Also featured on the bill are the U.S. debut of 17-year-old pop singer bülow from the Netherlands, the Los Angeles debut of guitar virtuoso Thomas Abban, as well as Los Angeles indie pop singer EZI. It’s top-to-bottom one of the strongest School Nights in a while. KCRW’s Jason Kramer and NAM will be DJing tunes between acts.
