Wild Belle to play First Fridays at NHM in June

Indie psychpop act Wild Belle will be headlining the First Fridays series at the Natural History Museum next month!

I first caught Wild Belle opening for Nas at the KCRW Sound in Focus series last summer and was hypnotized by their performance. Now, the duo will move into a headline slot at the summer concert series that takes place on the first Friday of each month — this one happening on Friday, June 9.

Also on the bill is New York multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzon-Montano, singer-songwriter Nick Hakim, and a DJ set from KCRW’s Anne Litt. Voomz, Victoria Rawlins, and Nina Tarr will spin sets in the DJ Lounge.

The show has a 5 PM start time and tickets are priced at $18.00, which includes access to the museum after-hours, the guided tour, the scientist-led discussion, the DJ lounge, and the main stage.
