Wonderfront 2019 lineup: Miguel, Slightly Stoopid top eclectic inaugural bill

There’s a new festival on the southern California block and this one has quite the unique lineup. The Wonderfront 2019 lineup is here, and covers quite a bit of ground in their first year, taking place in San Diego.

The inaugural fest is topped by alt-R&B crooner Miguel, dub rock legends Slightly Stoopid, and Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals — an act that can traverse across any genre. The festival takes place from Friday, November 22 until Sunday, November 24 on the waterfront in San Diego.

The rest of the bill is a unique mix, featuring acts like MGMT, Walk the Moon, Michael Franti & Spearhead, X Ambassadors, Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike, Phantogram, Bob Moses, Vince Staples, Big Gigantic, Tyga, Lil Dicky, Big Wild, STS9, Busta Rhymes, TOKiMONSTA, Thievery Corporation, Pepper, Parquet Courts, Bad Suns, Japanese Breakfast, Alice Merton, BROODS, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Donna Missal, Tucanes de Tijuana, and more.

There is also a stage branded the Tony Hawk Huckjam Stage featuring Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, X, The Vandals, and DJ Z Trip. It will be featured next to a ramp on which Hawk and others will be performing. There are at least seven stages. More artists will be announced later this month. Hawk, along with San Diego Padres legendary closer Trevor Hoffman are among investors.

Tickets are reasonably priced. Three-day general admission passes are $229, and $199 if you’re a member of the military. Three-day VIP experience passes are $1,200. Get your tickets here.
