Billie Eilish playing The Echo in October

Rising Los Angeles-based alt-pop act Billie Eilish is headlining a local gig this fall.

The 15-year-old singer will play The Echo on Thursday, October 5 as part of Neon Gold’s Popshop West series. She’s had a great 2017 so far, beginning with a killer festival debut at CRSSD Fest back in March, despite the fact she was sick. She had a song featured in the Netflix hit 13 Reasons Why, and has spun catchy tune after catchy tune.

The singer also announced the release of her debut EP — with the Tumblr Girl-ish title of don’t smile at me — will drop August 11. Along with the announcement came a new song, the dark and heavy “COPYCAT”, which you can hear below:

I became pretty obsessed with the song “Ocean Eyes” when I first heard it. Billie Eilish has a Lana del Rey meets MØ vibe to her, and she calls her sound “gloom pop”. Make sure to catch her while she’s still playing small venues.

Tickets to see Billie Eilish at The Echo go on sale Friday, July 21 at 10 AM Pacific Time and are priced at $15.00. It is an all-ages show with doors opening at 8 PM. There is a pre-sale running now using the code NOSMILES.
