Punk rockers The Orwells have a special show at The Smell tonight, Monday, November 21!
I can’t think of a more perfect match between a band and venue. The sweaty, tight confines of The Smell fit the grimy, moshy sounds of The Orwells to a tee.
Though only now just old enough to drink, the band has been around since releasing their first record while still in high school. They’ve extensively toured and gotten into the kind of trouble you’d expect a couple kids with loads of early success to get into. I saw them at Life is Beautiful a few years back and they were kicked out after their performance for destroying equipment. More recently they got in trouble for a physical interaction with staff at another festival.
Their new album Terrible Human Beings is due out February. As live performers they can’t be missed — so don’t miss them in this tiny downtown venue.
