Dance pop duo SOFI TUKKER have two shows at the Fonda Theatre next week, and we have tickets to the sold out gig on Wednesday, May 16. Want to win them? Keep reading.
For those who are unfamiliar, SOFI TUKKER are the New York-based duo of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern. They released that ear worm of a track called “Drinkee” in 2016 and were one of my favorite discoveries at Coachella 2017. I had no idea going into their set whether it was going to be DJs, and it turned out that they did everything live.
Their energy is infectious and they ended up finally putting out their debut album Treehouse in April and it’s an amazing listen from start to finish. In fact, it probably saved my life on the long drive back from Coachella on Sunday night as it was upbeat enough to keep me awake.
