We’ve got another ticket giveaway, this time for an extremely special show from The Breeders at the Fonda Theatre, which kicks off their tour! Also opening the show are LA favorites Cherry Glazerr!
Kim Deal is a founding member of The Pixies and recently revitalized her old side project The Breeders. I remember playing “Cannonball” on repeat, and it’s easy to see the influence that Deal and The Breeders have proven to have on some of today’s acts (Courtney Barnett comes to mind for some reason).
They’ve got an excellent new album All Nerve, which dropped at the beginning of March via 4AD. Their show at the Fonda Theatre on Thursday, April 5 is in addition to their shows April 6 at the Ace Theatre and April 7 at the Observatory in Santa Ana. It’s a special opportunity to see one of the best bands of the ’90s play an intimate show, with one of our favorite rising bands opening up
