Nite Jewel, La Luz, more to play The Getty’s Off the 405 series

Off the 405 — the free annual summer outdoor series at The Getty — returns this summer with a dope lineup featuring performances from the likes of Nite Jewel, La Luz and others.

Beginning May 20, you can see popular up-and-coming acts play free shows outdoors at the museum’s courtyard on Saturdays. Rising electro-pop act Nite Jewel kicks the series off on May 20. Psych-rock act White Fence plays June 10. Killer indie rockers La Luz plays a show June 24. Steve Gunn plays July 29, with an opening set by James Elkington. Savoy Motel closes out the series on August 26. The shows run from 6pm to 9pm with local beer, food and cocktails.

Past performers include Best Coast, Charles Bradley, Aloe Blacc, jennylee from Warpaint, Kevin Morby, Moses Sumney, Hundred Waters, Shannon and the Clams, Robert DeLong, Chicano Batman, Thundercat, Nick Waterhouse, and Allen Stone. Clearly the bookers have an eye for good talent, so check out some free music before some of these acts really blow up.
